Privacy Policy
4 Moves is a puzzle game. You can play without an account, and the game works offline. When your device is online, the app backs up your progress to our server and shows leaderboards. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What We Collect
When the app connects to our server, we store:
- a random player ID that the app creates (it contains no personal information);
- your game progress: levels completed, stars, the moves of your best solutions, Daily Challenge results, animals unlocked, awards, and your Endless and Blitz records;
- your leaderboard name, which is always generated by the game (such as "Brave Penguin 4821"), never typed by you.
If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we also store:
- the account identifier that Apple or Google gives us;
- your email address, if Apple or Google shares it (with Apple you can hide it behind a private relay address).
What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or advertising identifiers. The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
How We Use It
- To back up your progress and restore it on another device.
- To show leaderboards. They show only your generated name and your scores, which our server checks before they appear.
- To recover your account if you contact us.
- To keep the service secure. To stop abuse, our server counts requests per network address in memory for a short time; addresses are not stored or logged.
Where Your Data Is Kept
On servers we rent from a hosting provider, which processes it only for us. All connections between the app and our server are encrypted (HTTPS). Secret keys that let the app sign in are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form.
How Long We Keep It
- As long as your account exists.
- Guest data (you never signed in) is deleted after 12 months without use.
- Our server backups are kept for up to 14 days, so deleted data may remain in them until they expire.
Deleting Your Account
In the app: Settings > Account > Delete account. This removes your account, sign-in links, synced progress, leaderboard scores and name from our server immediately, and revokes Sign in with Apple. Without the app, see https://www.play4moves.in/delete-account.html or write to info@dsonix.com; we delete within 30 days. Progress saved on your device stays there until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Write to info@dsonix.com.
Sign-In Services
Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are provided by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies. We receive only what is listed above.
Permissions
- Network access: to back up your progress and show leaderboards.
- Notifications (optional): only if you turn on the daily reminder in Settings. You can turn it off at any time.
The app does not use location, contacts, camera, microphone or any other personal-data permission.
Children
4 Moves is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the app or its release notes.
